Allen Dizon Reveals Nora Aunor’s Hidden Kindness on Set—Daily Acts That Quietly Changed Lives
Manila, Philippines – May 13, 2025
The Philippine entertainment world continues to remember the late Nora Aunor not just for her unmatched talent, but for the enormous heart she kept hidden behind the spotlight.
In an exclusive interview during the premiere of his new film Fatherland, actor Allen Dizon shared moving memories of working alongside the Superstar in one of her final films, Ligalig—a project that became unforgettable for reasons far beyond the script.

A Superstar With a Secret Mission
“She gave away money every day,” Allen revealed. “She made up games, raffles—whatever it took—just to give to the crew. No one asked for it. No press, no attention. She just did it because she cared.”
There were no announcements. No PR teams. Just quiet generosity from a woman who, according to Allen, “still gave even when she didn’t have much left.”
He continued, “Her heart was different. It was huge. She didn’t act like she was above anyone. She treated the crew, the staff, everyone, with respect and love.”
A Lesson Beyond Acting
To Allen, being on set with Nora wasn’t just a career milestone—it was a spiritual one.
“You learn from her not just how to act—but how to give, how to care, how to love others without needing anything in return,” he said. “That was Ate Guy.”
He described how Nora respected everyone on set, never acted entitled, and carried herself with quiet grace. “You had to give your best when you were acting with her,” he added. “Because she gave everything.”
A Wake Filled with Gratitude
Allen also reflected on attending Nora’s wake, where the outpouring of love overwhelmed him.
“It was more than mourning—it was celebration. So many people came. Not just co-stars or politicians, but fans, neighbors, assistants—people she helped when no one was watching.”
It was there that Allen truly realized the scale of her impact. “She didn’t just change Philippine cinema. She changed lives,” he said.

Her Legacy Lives On
Even after nearly three decades in the industry, Allen Dizon calls Ligalig one of the most meaningful projects of his life.
“To have shared a scene with her… it’s something I’ll always carry. Not many people get that honor,” he said. “She wasn’t just a great actress. She was a great soul.”
As the country continues to honor Nora Aunor’s legacy, Allen’s story serves as a reminder that true greatness isn’t just about talent—it’s about heart.
Ate Guy gave both.
